appliances. We come to your campsite or home, saving you time and money. Our rates are
competitive with traditional shops because we have less overhead.
We service propane, electrical systems (AC and DC), plumbing, refrigeration, air conditioning,
furnaces, water heaters, awnings, hydraulics, and more. We are an authoized dealer for MCD
Innovations exterior windshield sun shades, interior roll-up sun shades, and tire covers.
Protech Mobile RV Service & Repair is licensed in Florida and registered in Connecticut. Ed
holds a 0407 Installer B License for propane (#19944) as required by the State of Florida.
Protech carries commercial liability insurance.
Ed receives his Certificate from Camping World RV Institute instructors
Ed Pronovost is Master Certified by the RVIA/RVDA industry associations. He has over twenty-
five years of experience as a field service technician. He holds certificates in refrigeration, air
conditioning, and electrical systems, graduating from New England Technical Institute in 1984.
Ed received the RSES Universal Refrigerant Usage Certification, required by the EPA, in 1993.
Camping World RV Institute granted Ed a Certificate in RV Product Service & Repair in 2003.
This authorized him to service RV appliances from Norcold, Dometic, Coleman, Atwood,
Thetford, ShurFlo, Tekonsha, Reese, Parallax, Xantrex, Splendide, and Winegard.
HWH Corp, manufacturer of hydraulic leveling systems, awarded Ed a Certificate upon
completion of a 20-hour Technical Training Seminar in 2005.
The RVRN (RV Refrigeration Network), certified Ed as an RV cooling unit specialist in 2007.
This required passing both written and practical testing, sponsored by Ford RV Refrigeration of
Benton, Kentucky. Protech then expanded, adding a work shop for repairing RV refrigerators
and other RV appliances, as well as retail space.
Our parts and accessories store, The RV Toy Shoppe, is located at 40 Hartford Tpke. (Rt.44) in
Eastford, CT from mid-April through early October. We stock RV parts for water, sewer,
propane, and electrical systems. RV’ers can purchase campsite accessories, patio mats,
recliners, party lights, housewares, garden flags, spinners, and much more.
When the RV Toy Shoppe is closed, you can still buy RV parts and accessories 24/7 at the
RV Toy Shoppe On Line.
Ed and his wife, Camille, have been RV owners since 1999 and were full-timers from 2002 -
2008.They spend summers in their original home state of Connecticut and winters in their home
in Lake Alfred, FL, just outside of Winter Haven, between Orlando and Tampa.
